To become a funded trader you must first pass an audition to demonstrate your skills and discipline as a competent trader. Upon successful completion, you are rewarded with a 75% profit split on your future payouts.

How it works

Rules to Follow

Stop loss – a stop-loss is required for each trade.

Maximum open lots – traders may have a maximum number of open lots equal to 1/10000 the size of their account.

One-Time Fee – no monthly subscriptions. Any strategy trade the strategy that works for you. Two simple rules no long list of confusing rules to follow. Pass quickly no minimum trading days, pass and you’re in.

Account limits: 8% maximum drawdown, traders may not incur losses exceeding 8% on a trading basis up to starting balance +8%. Once a trader has reached 8% profits in their account, the trailing drawdown becomes obsolete, and traders are allowed to drawdown back to their starting balance before breaching. 5% Daily loss limit, incurred losses cannot exceed 5% of your account equity in a given day.

Is getting SurgeTrader capital realistic?

When looking at prop firms that best suit you and your forex trading style, it’s important to look at how realistic the trading requirements are. For example, a company offering a high profit split on a highly funded account sounds great but if they expect high gains per month with low maximum drawdowns, your chances of success become close to zero.

After adding all of that into consideration SurgeTrader is a good choice to get funded with. This is because you only have to pass a 1 Phase Audition Process, where you are obliged to use stop-losses for every trade you make.

The rules of the Audition Process are realistic since the profit Target is 10% with a daily drawdown of 4% and a maximum trailing drawdown of 5%. Overnight holding is also allowed which is great for every trader that is looking to work with capital up to $1,000,000.

In conclusion, SurgeTrader is a legitimate proprietary trading firm offering funding upon completing its Audition Process. With funding from $25,000 up to $1,000,000 in balance with a 75% profit split and 30-day withdrawal requests. It’s a great firm for new traders because of the stop-loss rule that has to be made for every trade, as well as experienced traders because of the possibility to get a funded $1,000,000 in a balance trading account.

I would recommend SurgeTrader to anyone who is getting consistent results with their trading strategies and looking to trade with an account with a balance of up to $1,000,000. While they are still a relatively new firm, they are offering great conditions with the 1 Phase Audition Process for a variety of traders with different strategies. Compared to True Forex Funds and My Forex Funds this is a major difference as they both have 2 step Evaluation Processes.
